- a strive for perfection -
Based in the western part of Serbia, close to the forest-rich areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milan Blagojević has been running his woodwork workshop for more than two decades. A dedicated and humble human being, Milan conveys a true passion for the beauty of wood and its natural potentials.
Sharing the love of nature and passion for the finest wood
His love of the craft is apparent on first encounter. An endless resource of techniques and craftsmen’s tricks, Milan enjoys being challenged by demanding shapes and curves and looks forward to trying out different wood treatments. Objects coming out of his modest workshop simply strive for perfection.

Investing an admirable care for detail, it is no wonder that Milan’s work can be spotted in interiors designed by some of the leading Serbian architects. When it comes to producing custom-made pieces, he is always working closely with the authors, refining and improving their designs in order to create more durable and elegant items.
Objects coming out of his modest workshop simply strive for perfection
When he is not busy with demanding client work, Milan is experimenting with wood, literally designing with his hands and tools. Milan’s workshop is a small family business, with his two sons Petar and Srđan already well-versed in both the basics and the secrets of the craft. All the while, their Illyrian Shepherd is guarding Milan’s selected wood stock.

But life is never that simple. Milan’s family and workshop experienced major challenges during the immense floods that hit the Balkan region in 2014, leaving hundreds of houses under the water alongside Sava river. He lost a good part of his wood stock, but kept his head high and continued with dedicated, painstaking work. This was exactly the time when first wooden prototypes were being made for Folkk.
Milan inspired the designers, welcomed them into his world and immersed them into the craft process
Working with Folkk, Milan inspired the designers and immersed them into the craft process. He contributed invaluable insights into how Tapa boards and Plato plates should be adjusted, treated and maintained, as well as which sorts of wood will offer the best results and textures. That generous experience and warm inspiration are now weaved into the first wooden products presented by Folkk.
